Harbin Medical University Cancer Hospital, Harbin Medical University, Harbin, China
Dr. Liu is a clinical pharmacist at Harbin Medical University Cancer Hospital, and is studying medical genetics at Harbin Medical University currently. The projects he participated in were mainly involved in the field of pharmacogenetics, evidence-based medicine, pharmacokinetics, clinical trials, and clinical pharmacy.
As the core one of the team, Dr. Liu found the association of DNA repair genes polymorphisms and the clinical outcome to chemotherapy in cancer. He hopes that these accompanying predictive and prognostic biomarker tests will lead to a highly cost effective cancer treatment. Moreover, he took the advanced courses on Phase I Clinical Trial and participated in the constitute plan and implementation of the program at the Affiliated Hospital of Military Medical Sciences in 2013. He could master the principles of pharmacokinetics, and use a high performance Ultra Performance Liquid Chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (UPLC-MS) method to detect the plasma concentration of antitumor drugs.
