Dr. Halmos, MD is a medical oncologist/translational cancer researcher who currently is Director of Thoracic Oncology and Clinical Cancer Genomics at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center in New York. He received his medical degree summa cum laude from Semmelweis University in Budapest and prior to his current appointment he had been a faculty member at Harvard, Case Western Reserve and Columbia Universities. He has been the recipient of awards from AACR, ASCO and ACS and serves on grants review committees of ACS and ASCO currently. His main research interests include experimental therapeutics, oncogenic tyrosine kinase signaling, acquired drug resistance and lung cancer biology.
