Dr Sorich is a Professor in Pharmacology at Flinders University, Australia. He is a pharmacist and biostatistician with a primary research interest in the field of precision medicine as applied to anti-cancer treatments. His research aims to improve treatment decision-making through better understanding and prediction of between-patient variability with respect to anti-cancer treatment benefits and harms. He has deep expertise in statistical data analysis of data from clinical trials and routine clinical care. Notable areas of research include development and validation of prediction models for survival and toxicity outcomes of anti-cancer medicines, identification and evaluation predictive biomarkers of treatment benefit, and modelling of early on-treatment markers of treatment response.
