Treatment intensity in locoregionally advanced head and neck cancer: recent investigation leads to new questions

This short review highlights a recent trial as an example of ongoing investigations of treatment intensification in locoregionally advanced squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck (LRAHNC). Treatment intensification in LRAHNC is complicated by the fact that there are numerous methods of intensifying radiation treatment, chemotherapy, surgery and biological therapy for this disease.
